Welcome to the SJC website, which has been created to provide information for members and site visitors regarding Jazz activities provided by the club and to be a guide for Jazz lovers to events occuring each month, in and around the Sydney metropolitan area.

The 'Little People' graphic was created for the Sydney Jazz Club by Life Member Terry Fowler and adopted as its logo in 1962. It is a caricature of the original founding club members who were the Paramount Jazz Band, who formed the jazz club in 1953.
Bechet Ballet

The Bechet Ballet "La nuit est une sorciere" Led by John Colborne-Veel (trombone), Paul Furniss and David Ridyard (soprano saxes/reeds), Alison Penny (piano), Chris Ross (trumpet), Peter Anson (6 stringed banjo), John Mackie (bass) and Lawrie Thompson (drums). Another great night presented by the SJC!
Brunch-A-Float
Sunday 12th September
Enjoy the lovely Sydney Harbour and waterways with Bill Dudley's New Orleanians Jazz Band Departing King's Street Wharf 8 at 10.30 am and returning at 2.30pm. SJC MEMBERS $40, Other Jazz Club Members $45, Non Members $50 Numbers are restricted to ensure seating for all on board. All are guaranteed a seat but reserved seating is only available for tables of 10 - So grab your friends and make up a table quickly. Contact Ian McAllister on 9719 3876 or any Committee member for bookings.

The Flying Squadron is at 76 McDougall St., Milsons Point, music starting 12.30pm to 3pm . Ticket pricing is $10, pay as you sign in and enter on arrival.
